Kylie and Django jr. Dutch Champion

Last Saturday both Kylie and Django jr. became Dutch Champion at the dogshow in Oss. In Holland you can only become champion when you keep on winning with excellent qualification after your dog is 27 months old, so now they are 29 months, we had to enter once more. Kylie even won BOB (Best of Breed) so now she can retire from dogshows and from now on we will concentrate on huntingtests. Brother Kalle already entered a dogshow with Easter and gained his last point to become Dutch Champion, so now we have three Dutch Champions in our first litter, something to be proud of.

Sundaymorning walk

Because Kylie and her sister Bonnie (on the picture above in the front) are both in heat, we have to walk some place where no other dogs come. We found a beautifull path along meadows. On these meadows heaps of geese were fouraging and Kylie was very interested in them. Every fence we passed, she had to have a good watch.

Once more Jazz at the huntingtraining

A few more nice pictures of Jazz's hard work through the mud. This is the kind of work she realy loves. The top picture is a waterbird, the two pictures below are with a big goose.

Breakfast time

How peacefull! And chicken grain tastes much better than dogfood. Don't think we've got peacefull Large Munsterlanders. It's only because these chickens belong to the family that they are not bothered by the dogs. All other chickens have to fear for their lives.

Jazz on the huntingtraining

Above: do I hear a pheasant-cock overthere?

Above and underneath: Jazz is coming back from working out a trail at the other side of the water, bringing in all the game that was at the end of it.

Above: training to give Jazz directions on long distance. She's got to go a long way backwards.
Underneath: and the reward of going backwards is finding a waterbird.

These pictures were made yesterday, on Jazz's huntingtraining.

Kylie best LM in field-trials 2008!!!

Yesterday the awards for the Large Munsterlanders with the best achievements of the past year were given... And I'm so proud for Kylie won the award for the best Large Munsterlander in field-trials of the year 2008!!!
Well done Kylie!!

Now also Django (Max) 2nd in Huntingdog Group!!

Yesterday at the dogshow in Wieze, Belgium, also Django won 2nd place in the Huntingdog Group!! This is very extraordinairy, for except for his brother Kalle, no Dutch Large Munsterlander ever achieved so well at a dogshow. Peggy IJpelaar was beautifully showing Django. Because of her schoolwork she could not join her parents to Sweden where at the same time Kalle had to show. Kalle got BOB and Winner 2009. He now may call himself Swedish Champion. As soon as we have the official pictures of Django's achievement, ofcourse we will publish them.

Crufts write-ups

The Crufts write-ups have been published at the Dogworld paper. This is what judge Christine McDonald thought of Jordi, Kalle and Kylie:
--
PGD (12) 1 Spence’s Jordi van de Stommeerpolder from Cicada, mature dog in full coat & excellent condition. Tends to stand a bit bum high at times. Wide fully developed thighs & second thighs giving strength to hindquarters which he used well on the move, strong bone with well padded feet, beautifully presented with coat in excellent condition;
--
Working D (5) 1 Ijpelaar’s Kalle van de Stommeerpolder, well constructed alert energetic dog, sound construction & movement, well proportioned head, intelligent & biddable expression, excellent front, straight forelegs, well padded tight feet, good topline & underline. Quite taken with him here & kept in final few for challenge but looked a little raw against the more mature dogs;
--
Working B (3,1) 1 Spaargaren-Braam’s Dutch YCH Nova v d Stommeerpolder, good head, outline & depth of brisket, well sprung ribs carried back to strong loin, moved well with long gait & good drive, in excellent condition, well handled to get the best from her;

More Crufts pictures

These beautifull pictures of the girls at Crufts are made by Sue Hall. I'm so happy having them, for ofcourse I was there with my camera, but as soon as Jazz spotted me, she was walking vice-versa, so I had to leave the ring. To be sure I stayed away when Kylie was showing too. Thank you Sue!

Crufts 2009 ... 3 x 1st in Class!!

From left to right: Kalle, Kylie and Jordi
Well don't they look cheerfull?!

Jordi 1st in Post Graduate Class (dogs)

Kalle 1st in Special Working Gundog Class (dogs)

Kylie (Nova) 1st in Special Working Gundog Class (bitch)

Jazz (in the middle) was in the Open Class, where all the English champion bitches were shown. Unfortunately she didn't make it, but looked and moved beautifully.
--
We were pretty succesfull showing at Crufts last weekend! All three Stommeerpolder "puppies" became 1st in Class and were showing in the final round for Best Dog and Best Bitch of breed. Kalle even stayed in until the last 4 dogs! There were 121 Large Munsterlanders shown. Well I haven't seen that many LM's together in my whole life! It was great to watch and we had a good time.
Ilona, thank you very much for your company, support and showing Jazz and Kylie for me. And Cheryl, thank you very much for your hospitality and great cooking!! while staying at your place!

Jordi and Kylie

Last weekend we were in England where we visited Marie and Ken for the Crufts. This nice picture is of brother Jordi (sitting) and Kylie, both with long tongues.

Gimli v.d. Stommeerpolder

What a nice surprice, I received some new pictures of Gimli. Gimli is living with Jeanet en Jeroen Visser in the far north of Holland. As you can see he's a real Stommerpolder dog.

Safe and sound

(click on the little triangle to start the movie)
Some little creature hid in this drainage tube and despite of all the effort of Jazz and Kylie trying to reach it, it was safe and sound in that tube. This is just one of the daily scenes on a regular walk, but I always think they are very funny.

Doedag

Tough guys carrying a geese. Kylie's got practical experience with it (above), but Kalle wondered what would be the best way to lift it. He's still perfectly bringing it to Hennie, although a little unhandy :-))

Underneath Kalle is bringing in a very bad smelling fitch, you could tell by the way he looks. Kylie totally refused to take the fitch because of that bad smell. She rather fetches pheasants for instance, as in the picture above.

On February 21 the Dutch Large Munsterlander Club organised a Doedag. On that day there were a lot of multiple tests you could do with your dog, without competition. And there was a lot of game provided. A fantastic opportunity to have a good training and a lot of fun. Ofcourse Kalle and Kylie were there, but also Ginny was present. Unfortunately she was not in our group, so I couldn't make any pictures of her performanse.

And here's the picture...

As promissed, this is the official picture of Kalle in Fredericia, Danmark, where he was placed reserve Best in the Huntingdog Group.

Kalle did it again!!

Last Saturday on Valentinesday, Kalle won 2nd place again in the Huntingdog Group, this time at the International Dogshow in Fredericia, Danmark!! Well done!! Congratulations to Peggy, Anke and Hennie. They travel throughout whole Europe to show the world our beautifull breed, and succesfully! As soon as we get the pictures, ofcourse they will be shown. For now this lovely picture of Kalle in Valentinesuit will do.

Today's picture of Pax, after a good rolling over on the grass.

Proud Django jr.

It realy is time to put some pictures on the blog again and I have some beautifull ones! Like these pictures . They were made of Django jr. on the Large Munsterlander beachwalk on Januari 11th. What a proud dog!
